Learn and earn!

Cayuse Holdings has launched the third year of its Apprenticeship Program and is expanding the opportunity for college students to work towards a degree and a career at one of the Cayuse companies. Online applications being accepted now!

According to Cayuse Holdings Chief Executive Officer Billy Nerenberg, “We support our apprentices with a part-time paid job, financial support towards their education, mentorship, and the opportunity for a full-time career with Cayuse after they attain their degree.”

Debra Croswell, who was the lead organizer of the program, said Cayuse has decided to expand the program to not only include enrolled members of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, but members of other federally recognized tribes and Native Hawaiians. Hiring preference will be offered for enrolled CTUIR members and individuals with ties to CTUIR.

She added “As Cayuse grows, the opportunity to bring on more apprentices is increasing as well. More of our business units are now in a situation to host a student, which means more learning and career opportunities in a wider variety of fields.”

“We’re eager to talk with students who are leaning towards careers in business, compliance/legal, human resources, marketing, communications and social media, business development, information technology and more,” said Chris Schwartz, Organizational Development Director for Cayuse, who is coordinating the application process and reaching out to CTUIR college students with information about the opportunity.

“We’re accepting pre-applications now and will invite full applications and hold interviews in the next two months. Even if a student isn’t sure of their career path, we encourage them to pre-apply and open the conversation,” said Schwartz.

Students can learn more and express interest by answering a few questions in a pre-application at cayuseholdings.com.
